When I look for a picture online, I usually look for a reference or accurate, copyright -free material that I can throw in the project before sending it. Ai pictures do not help me to do either of these things. And the off -capable of me make You need an ai image, it is not difficult to create one that yourself using a custom invitation. So I can’t think of a scenario where I would like to see AI pictures in my search results. Fortunately it looks like Duckduckgo agrees with me.
A privacy-focused search engine and browser company recently announced a new feature on the Images tab, which allows you to hide the images created by AI by default. Although there are ways to hide your AI Google searches, unless you install extensions, you need to exit your way of using them every time you make a new search. With the DuckduckGon solution, it is a set-it-And-forge-it.

Just go to the DuckduckGo website, enter your search, click on the Images tab, and click on the Settings Toolbar below I have pictures and choose Hide From the menu to be opened. Duckduckgo then remembers the settings for all future searches. Click the burger menu in the upper right -hand corner, click Settings under Searchand ripen Hide the ai generized images. Or you can just start your search noii.duckduckgo.com.
The company warns you that its “block list is not exhaustive”, so a few AI produced results may slip through the cracks, but I immediately noticed a big difference in my business. While searching for Tabby Cat puppies, I managed to cut a good four or five AI images on the front page, including some strange cartoon proportions that don’t really help me if I just wanted to know what the baby Tabby looks like. It was not quite as noticeable as the “Baby Peacock” example Duckduckgo gave in his announcement, but it is a welcome insurance that I probably see the real one.

Duckduckgo says Ublockorig and Ublacklist Huge AI -BUILDING LIST. This is a manually curated list of over 1,000 sites known for the content created by AI, so even if it doesn’t stick to everything, it’s a great start. It is also useful in the sense that it works even if the image may not be a watermark ai.
While getting a built-in AI-Importing list makes Duckduckgo attractive to AI-Skeptics, it is worth noting that Duckduckgo may not be anti-AI, and actually offers some of your own AI tools. However, in his announcement of the filtration feature of the new image, Duckduckgo said it was committed to making its battle “private, useful and optional”.
