Google photos get significant AI pieces. Wednesday, Google reported A handful of new features that allow users to be more creative with their photo memories, including the ability to convert photos into videos, and “remix” photos to different styles such as anime, cartoons, sketches or 3D animations.
The application also concentrates access to its creative tools, including both AI-operated and traditional tools in the “CREATE” tab in the Photos app. Two recently launched features are placed in this tab alongside other tools to help you create collages– Highlight videosand others thing.
Update brings AI capacity to one of Google’s most popular consumer areas: Google Photos today is More than 1.5 billion users. It puts AI in more people’s hands, including those who have not spent so much time to try what AI can do. It also gives Google great learning as people try new qualities.
The company pointed out that these features are experimental, so it asks users to leave the thumb or thumb down to AI’s produced images and videos to give feedback. This feedback helps Google to improve the product and general experience, it says.
With a new photo-video feature, similar to offer already available in Gemini (and, Today, YouTube)), Users can make short videos of their own photos with Google Veo 2. In recent years, animating old family photos was a smart trick, charging driving, such as MyHeritage, when people aroused relatives to life. Now this ability is utilized with AI.
Once you have selected a photo, you can choose one of two prompts-“subtle movements” or “I think luck” to a photo for a six-second video clip.
The picture for the video will be released today for US users on Android and iOS.
At the same time, the new Remix feature that the Google Image AI model gets will give you any picture of your gallery and then change it to a different style in just a second.
This feature is available in the United States on Android and iOS over the next few weeks.
Both features include invisible Synth Digital watermark in their output to identify them as AI generized. Google photos are already doing this with other AI tools such as Images that are edited with a re -imaging devicefor example. The videos created also include a visual watermark, similar to Gemin.
Create tab will arrive in the United States in August. Google says on the tab over time by adding new tools and tests and fine -tuning in existing options.
AI features were introduced alongside similar Youtube shorts tools, which now also offers its own photo video option and new AI effects that will receive Veo 2 (shorts will reach Voo 3 later in the summer, Google said).
