I’ve had Apple Watch for almost a decade, and during that time I have probably made a sound for about a day. Nobody really wants to hear your watch loud and ring all day, especially when you’re in a quiet room. And since the only way to put into place and disable alarms is the software through the software, it is too difficult for me to leave the sound at all. So my watch is quietly reminiscent.
But It may change with Watchos 26Apple’s upcoming update clock. Alongside other beneficial features such as adding a dedicated note (finally), Watchos 26 introduces a new, intelligent way to manage alarms. According to Apple, the update gives your watch analyze the noise of the current environment by automatically adjusting the clock’s speaker volume. It includes alarms, timers, alarms, incoming calls, and Siri’s sound effects – all affect the mood of the room or space.
Hypothetically, the clock may feel that you are in a busy bar, and the volume up to avoid missing a call or an important alarm. Or, most importantly, it could tell you that you are in a quiet room with a polite discussion and significantly reduces volume. I am interested in seeing how it works in general, but especially when it discovers that I am relatively quiet. If I am, for example, in a museum, and anyone Is it talking, does my watch take a peek? Or is it also silent, the volume of the room environment?
What do you think so far?
Time will tell you when I get the Watchos 26 and run my Apple watch. I definitely put it in the test, but I’m not convinced that I use it. Even if the alarms are more appropriate (and something I don’t personally have to think about it), my guess is that I prefer to lean on a quiet state. It’s not necessarily Watchos: Like many of us, I keep my iPhone quiet almost exclusively. But hey, who knows: maybe Watchos 26 changes my mind.
