Astronomer Pete Dejoy wrote: “On the weekend, I played the role of interim CEO of the astronomer. Statement shared on LinkedIn.
“The events in the past few days have attracted media attention and few companies (not to mention startups in our data and artificial intelligence world) have encountered them.

“The spotlight has always been unusual and surreal for our team, and while I always hope that this will happen, astronomers are now household names.”
Dejoy went on to talk about many other challenges the company faced, then added: “But, we’re still here.”
He assured the astronomers of his followers that “the foundation remains strong” and that the company has no plans to go anywhere.
He continued: “To our team: Thank you for your resilience and commitment to building something great.”

“And our community and our clients: Thank you for your trust. We won’t let you down.”
Although astronomers released a statement that X announced Byron’s resignation after the release of the viral video, the former CEO has not issued a personal statement at the time of publication.
