Where can you use a fitness tracking in addition to your wrists

The fitness point is on your wrist, but you have so many other options. Sometimes I use a smart watch on my arm if I test several devices and run out of the wrist. The more normal reason would be that you want to use a gym tracking device and a mechanical clock without rocking the look of two viewing. Or maybe you work in a work that is not compatible with wristwatches (chefs and surgeons, I see you.) Fortunately you have options.

Some are devices that are never used on the wrist, such as tire -based tracking devices. Others are designed on the wrist but can be used elsewhere in the aftermarket or clips. Let’s look at options for tires, clips, biceps, ankle straps and even clothes.

Buy an extra band for your arms or ankle

If you already have a smart watch or fitness tracking and just want a new place to use it, consider your arm or ankle band. Most smart watches can use the universal band type, so check the width of the millimeters and look for a “arm band” or “ankle band”. For example, here is a 22mm arm/ankle band that fits Garmin Forerunner 265 or 570 or even a new Helio strap. This type of strap has a small metal pin at both ends, and fortunately the current Watch pins have a small handle that you can grab on your thumbnail so you don’t need a specialized tool to add it.

If your device has a specialized connector, such as the Apple Watch or Fitbit Charge 6, there are also aftermarket/ankle ribbons. Just make sure you get one that is compatible with the device model.

Once the strap is installed, you can use it on the upper arm (just above the biceps) or try to find a place on your ankle. Since the ankle is not always a nice, soft, smooth place for resting the clock, it’s not a good place to capture your heart rate. But if your most important concern is to calculate the steps, the ankle strap can usually do it nicely.

Professionals

Disadvantage

  • Harmful to look at the clock or use all interactive features

  • You may have to sit down to interrupt the exercise

  • In some dressing models may not be available after -market

Try the fitness set

I am Longtime Oura ring fan (It’s hard love, but love anyway), so this is the route I have traveled. At 24/7 pm drives me to the nuts, but I can completely ignore the tire. If Oura is not your style, Ultrumanic And others offer options.

What do you think so far?

Disadvantage

Attach it to your belt

Fitbit and other Tracker brands sell models that lowered your steps on your belt or bra. (I remember that I love bra from now outdated brand, MisFit.) You can still get an after -market for some devices, as Fitbit inspires. Just pop it from its bracelet and a cut this.

Disadvantage

Use it in your clothes

WHOOP monitoring is usually used on wrist or biceps but also the company also has “body” garment With small pockets you can slide the device. The company sent me one of their bra when the collection started, and I was able to slide my whop device (minus its strap) in a small pocket in the band under the left armpit. It was nice, stayed in place and the data collection was good.

Their other offers include shorts and lingerie with a device pocket in the waistband, and even a swimsuit in the device pocket in the same place as the bra. If you are handy with a needle and yarn, you can easily make your own versions of these products.

Professionals

Disadvantage

  • The buttons and screens are not available (so this works so well with WHOOP because the Whop has no buttons or display).

  • You need to plan forward to get Whop compatible lingerie and want to copy the laundry period.
